Did you know that Christian Siriano was one of the first people to use his New York Studio to make mask for our current pandemic ?
Christian Siriano’s latest RTW collection was held at his Connecticut home. According to Vogue Runway, during Quarantine, Christian Siriano “cooked a lot, enjoyed his garden and local farmers market, dove into his childhood comic collection, and re-watched some of his favorite movies”. This imagination gave life to this new 2021 RTW collection. There was a strapless dress and two piece suit that had comic prints all over them. Along with those comic looks, was a beautiful and whimsical garden inspired tulle gown that looked stunning with the models big red hair.

Throughout the collection, the runway models wore every look with mask. I certainly appreciate this aspect to the runway looks. It really portrays what are current situations are and not forgetting about them because “it’s just a fashion show”.
Inclusivity was a key aspect in this collection as well. Siriano added all kind of shapes, colors, ages, and sizes throughout this RTW collection. The models walked in heels by Sarah Jessica Parker’s shoe line. The backyard pool of Siriano’s home was the runway for these models. A huge bridge covered a big part of the pool while the audience watched in awe.
Along with a lot of the vibrant pieces in the collection, were also key pieces that stood out from others. This piece was a fitting black long sleeve gown that had the word “Vote” stamped all over. I love when designers incorporate pieces that are politically driven and speaks to what’s happening in America right now. Voting is something that we all need to do in November to improve our country.
