Marc Jacobs Relaunches Popular 2000s Handbag

Marc Jacobs is relaunching popular Stam bags.

Bringing the 2000s to 2023 is the wave nowadays in fashion. As you all know, we’ve seen the popularity of Y2K fashion becoming a must-have in people’s closets. As a result, many fashion styles and brands have resurfaced due to Y2K becoming popular again. This has led Marc Jacobs to relaunch the popular STAM bag, the most sought-after bag in the early 2000s. The bag debuted during the fall 2005 runway show and was named after Jessica Stam, a part of the “doll-faced” models in the 2000s.

Many celebrities, such as Paris Hilton, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Lindsay Lohan, and more, were instantly spotted wearing the bag in the early 2000s. The quilted leather bag was perfect for running errands or hanging out around the town. Because trends go away so fast, the bag was discontinued in 2013. But the bag is back and better than ever. The brand just shot a campaign for the relaunch of handbags featuring Ashanti, Paris Hilton, Ashlee Simpson, and Selma Blair. Harley Weir and Alastair Mckimm shot the campaign.

The handbag comes in two sizes; classic for $1,495 and small for $995. Along with the two sizes, they come in three different colors such as black, white, and pink. The quilted bag includes a front zipper and a huge chain that drapes over the bag. The STAM bag is also the newest addition to Marc Jacob’s “(M)Archives collection” of iconic accessory pieces from the brand.
