Gucci is Going Back to Cali for Upcoming Runway Show in L.A.

The high-fashion scene in Los Angeles is not as prevalent as in major cities such as New York, Milan and Paris, but now the City of Angels will get a glimpse into what a luxury fashion runway show is all about. The Italian Fashion house Gucci will be presenting its next fashion show titled “Gucci Love Parade” on Nov. 2 in front of Hollywood’s iconic building, TCL Chinese Theatre.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, “Gucci is proud to highlight the intersection of creativity and culture within the City of Los Angeles, poised for rebirth post-pandemic. As part of Gucci’s Changemakers program, powered by Gucci Equilibrium, it will provide significant support to the Los Angeles and Hollywood communities through a donation to the city’s most critical needs: homelessness and mental health,” Gucci said in a statement.

Coming off of their last runway show in April titled “Aria,” which featured a collaboration with Balenciaga, had a lot of celebrity glitz and glamour, which the Hollywood scene is all about. I’m still waiting for the pieces from that collection to drop.

According to different sources, creative director Alessandro Michele has always been captivated by the Hollywood scene since his tenure at Gucci. So, it only fitted that he hosts a runway show in the heart of Hollywood, especially during the brand’s 100th anniversary year.

What do you all think about the location of the upcoming fashion show?
