Simone Rocha and H&M Collabing on a Unique Collection

H&M is becoming a safe place for me to shop. The fashion retailer is somewhat of a cheaper version of Zara. I’m not talking about cheap quality but affordable in price. They produce excellent clothing pieces that are always on-trend and will keep you up to date on the latest fashions. H&M has worked with luxury brands in the past, such as Moschino, now the retailer will be working with another international-based luxury brand for the ultimate collection.

This will be the first time Rocha will be designing and presenting a collection for children and men. You all do not need to worry about minimal pieces in men’s and children’s wear. All of the categories will have a full wardrobe. This entire wardrobe will include special occasion wear such as tulle dresses and tailored separates, knitwear; shirting; trench coats, t-shirts and accessories. Of course, there will be Rocha’s sparkling jewelry and pearl-embellished footwear. The pearl footwear is perfect for this season since pearl jewelry is trending right now in fashion.

Rocha is the first Irish designer to partake in collaboration with the famed U.S. retailer H&M. This collection upholds the values that the Simone Rocha brand is based on. These values celebrate the unique multicultural heritage and the myriad inspirations, which are vital aspects that define Rocha’s label.

“I am so thrilled to be working with H&M on this very special collection. It truly is a celebration of the signatures of my brand, and the influences that have shaped me. As a designer, and a customer, I’ve been such a fan of the H&M collaboration concept. Margiela, Alber Elbaz, Comme des Garcons – it’s such an amazing list of alumni to be a part of.” Said Rocha.

The Simone Rocha x H&M collection will be presenting new twists on signatures from the Simone Rocha label. The collaboration will also be paying homage to critical collections that have defined Simone Rocha in magnificent ways. There are tartan, beading, florals, pinks, reds and bespoke fabrications developed exclusively for this collaboration.

“Simone Rocha has been on the H&M wish-list for some time,” Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design at H&M, said.

“All of us at H&M have been so inspired to work with a female designer who spends so much time thinking about contemporary femininity, and womanhood, and who is so committed to excellence in craft and design, from the process of developing special fabrications, to pushing silhouettes, shapes and embellishments.” Johansson continued.

The collection will be launched on Mar. 11. And will celebrate a decade of the Simone Rocha label, which is a great accomplishment for an independent London-based brand.
