Loungewear is starting to play a significant factor among fashion brands and houses. This can be attributed to Brands such as SKIMS launching full loungewear collections that blew up instantly. Loungewear is becoming so popular that Marie Claire did a whole article on The 36 Best Loungewear Brands for Your New Normal.
The new loungewear that is being widely publicized is the perfect mix between being comfortable and stylish. Loungewear has also become such an essential and popular necessity because of the “Quarantined” state that we are in today. People want to be cozy and snug in their homes while also feeling like they are trying to put on clothes.
Dior has begun to follow this new wave of stylish loungewear. These unique pieces designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri will be the fashion house’s first collection that is dedicated to loungewear. Chiuri designed this collection “during the confinement period.” The collection includes pieces from pajama sets, ponchos, bathrobes, bikini tops, and bottoms. Chiuri has also released loungewear footwear. These footwear pieces consist of slides (which are vital footwear for chilling around the house), sneakers, and flat ankle boots.
Like many past Dior collections, Chiuri added the signature toile de Jouy pattern to these different loungewear clothing pieces. The Dior loungewear is elegant and tasteful. It’s not the usual fluffy and cozy fabric pieces. The loungewear still has that Dior flavor that we all love.
