Dior Men’s Spring 2020 Collection // Dior x Rimowa

The highly anticipated collection has arrived today and that is the Dior Men’s Spring 2020. Since the arrival of Kim Jones as the Men’s creative director. Since his first collection at the Fashion house I’ve been all the way locked into what he has been doing. From his collaboration with KAWS to its Robotic inspired Pre-fall collection to this new Spring 2020 collection.

The inspiration for this collection had an interplay in between the past, present, and future. Another key aspect besides Jones to make this inspiration come to life was the set designer, Daniel Arsham. Arsham is a New York based artist that is between the lines of art, architecture, and performance. The set for this show has items that were inspired by the Monsieur Dior’s studio. Along with the clothing, the set brought the show to life.

The collection gave a lot of muted and settled tones. There was a lot of blazer suits, cigarette like pants, and even bright pink coats. With the modes and their slicked back hair, it gave me 50s vibes with a modernized touch to it. Another eye catcher would have to be the display of the Dior x Rimowa cases. The two brands teamed up with each other to produce durable cases that come in big and small sizes. These bags are designed with Dior Oblique motifs and come together with a backpack, a champagne case, a hand case, a clutch, and an aluminum cabin suitcase. This is a good amount of special edition bags.
