Last December it was said that that Raf Simmons left Calvin Klein immediately, even though he had 6 months left in his contract at the fashion brand. Its said that Calvin Klein Inc, had decided to go into a new way of designing their clothing and Simmons just didnt have the same creative vision.
Now recently announced, Calvin Klein has decided to shutdown its luxury ready to wear line. Which is their Runway Line. This means that their New York and Milan office will be closing and there would be over 100 jobs lost in the process.
Raf Simmons did a good job in a creative aspect with the brand, but last year alone the brand lost $21 million in revenue.
Now Calvin Klein is looking for a creative director that will direct the brand in the right direction that they want to be on. They aim to concentrate on its denim and underwear lines.
Hopefully they find someone that helps this brand prosper to what they were at first.
