In Paris today Simon Porte Jacquemus debuted is Fall 2019 ready to wear collection at the Paris Event Center Hall A
But instead of having a regular catwalk, the designer opted out for a set that depicted an imagery Version of Murano in Italy or even a France town square. It was basically Jacquemus own city. It’s said that a French man at the show blurted out about Simon Porte Jacquemus as “the new Karl Lagerfeld”.
Jacquemus came back from his Spring collection having a approach that focused on the big picture. Jacquemus feels as if he has way more to say and not wanting people to only see the sensuality in his designs.
There was many pantsuits, skirts, sweaters, button downs and culottes, double face coats, and many more options. He also came hard with the bright color variations. With vivid pinks, oranges, blues, and greens. My favorite part would have to be the bold earrings from 1stdibs.com. Some of the earrings also had pictures of him and his mother on little frames. Very unique. The use of the knee high slouching boots and pointed pumps with the mono tone like colors were so beautifully done. What he did also that I haven’t really seen is he used very mini bags and very huge bags
The aesthetic of this fashion show was my favorite yet. I can’t wait to see more from PFW
