Ellery Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear

Kym Ellery inspiration for this collection was ‘ The Sound of Ice Melting’ a 1970’s piece by Paul Kos. She loved the nature of the artwork and wanted to pursue that concept in her new Spring collection.

Many pieces in this collection were pieces that I’ve seen before, but done and crafted very beautifully.

The structure of this first look gravitated me to the collection first. It’s a white crop puffy short sleeve top with silver crystal like embellishments all over the top. This top was paired with some high waisted cigarette pants that were a little wide at the bottom. The styling of this look is great Because it’s trying to aim the consumer to looking at the well polished top

This grey dress with what it looks like grey diamond patterns are draped so beautifully. My favorite part of this dress would have to be the collar and how one leg is shown and the other is not. I call this the Peek-a-boo dress.

As you all should know by now I absolutely love outerwear pieces, especially a piece that is different. This foil trench coat would be something that I would try and acquire to be in my closet.

Co-ords are also another one of my fave pieces to own. Now this piece is really representing the 70’s trend that many designers are aiming for this season. The blue ribbed co-ords are perfectly made. I love the wide pant at the end and the semi wide sleeves at the end with the zipper going down the top.

Yellow is my favorite color in this season. With Ellery combining yellow and this appealing structured plaid crop top blazer and high waisted skirt to match was amazing. I love the detailing and the oversized black buttons.
